Details:
From Dublin, CA, nearly 300 miles for Vandenberg Air Force Base, I imaged the launch of SpaceX Iridium 7 through layers of thin cloud. The composite is a stack of 5-second exposures spanning approximately 4:40:42am - 4:47:18am. These were shot using a Canon 6D, 50mm lens, f/4, ISO-400. The movie, shot with a Canon 6D, 200mm lens, f/2.8, ISO-1600, starts just after 2nd stage ignition and also shows the boost back burn of the 1st stage. The detail in the exhaust plume is more than I could have expected! The streamed audio is a few seconds delayed compared to the visuals.
