Clouds began to clear as Venus and the crescent moon began to set into the brilliant but fading sunlight in this image looking SW from Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Time and date was 9:07 pm CDT, Sunday, July 15, 2018. Venus shone at magnitude -4.12. Image is a 1/30 second exposure at f/6.3, ISO 500, 46mm focal length. Nikon D7200 DSLR camera.
