Details:
These 10:07 UTC Fourth of July noctilucent clouds were faint, but occurred in a large band NW to SE. With so many skyward obstructions in my yard, I took my camera to nearby Cheney Lake for a better vista. Three cousins, who had been fishing, let me photograph their silhouettes against the nightsky, while I told them about the clouds. "You learn something new everyday," they said. Afterwards, we shared stories about memorable aurora shows. L-R: Andrew Norman, Gabriel Evans, & Nicholi Ukatish-Gahimer.
