After months, yesterday I was back to my lovely Kakwa area closer to Wapiti boundary, for the second time this month and I was planning a night out taking advantage of the clear sky and hoping to get some Noctilucent Clouds display in my frames. What a greeting from the Mother Nature!!! Aurora Borealis dancing over and around a very beautiful and humongous Noctilucent Clouds display. The Aurora Borealis was predominately faint but occasionally with short lived periods of high activity, showing pillars and curtains as wel. Fantastic display overall despite the short summer night, I got lucky to have both in one show the Aurora Borealis and Noctilucent Clouds. (D800, Nikkor 14-24mm 2.8, ISO 320 & 2500; 2 & 4 seconds exposure; f 2.8, 24mm- Wapiti - Kakwa, Grande Prairie, Alberta, Canada – July 12th, 2018)

The aurora was caused by a filament release earlier this week.
