Details:
We had a minor post dusk display on the 24th, which was just a glowing blue band low in the north. We decided to stay up in the hope we got a nice pre dawn display, we were not disappointed! Although it was still rather low in the north, about 20 degrees alt, there was some nice structures and it was spread almost right across the northern horizon, I had to use my ultra wide angle lens (11-16mm) to fit it all in. It has certainly been a good start to the NLC season and I am looking forward to more displays in the weeks to come, preferably a nice one after sunset as staying up until gone 3am can get a bit tiresome! images were taken between 01:38 UT and 02:19UT
