Details:
These images show the smoke from the forest fires west of the Colorado Rocky Mountains drifting over the mountains to the east side of the Colorado Rocky Mountains west of Denver at sunset. Fortunately the wind was from the south today in the Denver area. When the wind is from the west or northwest the smoke drifts into the Denver area like a brown fog which wakes one up at night with a very bad smell if your windows are open. For those who like to image faint comets, this may not be the place to be this summer. Cheers, enjoying all the great images on these pages the past few weeks.
