Details:
I went to observe the sun setting into/behind the monument know as the Grianán of Aileach, Inishowen, Co. Donegal, Ireland, standing on a ridge to the east of the monument. Light pillar appeared just as the sun started to set, approaching the Grianán. Taken with Canon 50D, Sigma 18-200 mm lens, f11, 1/160 sec, ISO 100.
