Passing clouds most of the night but a few moments of hazy skies. An image of the Flower Moon taken around 1am Tuesday morning. The Full Moon of May is known as Flower Moon to signify the flowers that bloom during this month. There is a myriad of wildflowers which bloom in May in the Northern Hemisphere, where these traditional Full Moon names originated. Taken with an Explore Scientific ED80 with a 2X Barlow and Nikon D3100 DSLR (1/640 second, ISO-200).
