Details:
Fantastic Moonrise two evenings ago from the Outer Hebrides, Stornoway, with the April Full Moon perfectly visible on the pinkish Belt of Venus, with Earths shadow underneath! The illusion of perspective makes it seem that the Moon is in front of it, but instead it is way farther away! A fantastic show of Mother Nature!

Giuseppe,

I must admit, the animals dont look to impressed! So you mention the pinkish belt of Venus, that made me look for Venus which I could not find, so I assume that you are referring to the pinkish glow across the image where the Moon is? I have never heard that expression before. Having grown up on a cattle/wheat farm, I enjoyed looking at the farm yard also. So my eyes and screen are rather bad, are there sheep and cattle in this image? Hard to tell with the distance to them and all being white.

Thanks for sharing the image,

Mike Olason
