Details:
How to know distance between Moon and Jupiter? Use a halo! I'm currently observing at La Silla observatory, Chile, with the Euler Swiss telescope. Tonight the sky is quite hazy, not nice for the observations, but perfect for moon halos. One day before a nice conjonction, Jupiter had the good idea to be exactly at 22 degrees from the moon and as a result happened to be a nice add-on to the halo itself. On this picture took with a fiseye we can also see the 3.6m telescope in the background as well as the Euler 1.2m telescope on the foreground.
