Details:
The image shows the US Air Force's secret X-37B OTV 5 space plane over my house in Leiden, the Netherlands, in late evening twilight of 20 April 2018, 20:14 UT (22:14 CEST). It was an easy naked eye object of magnitude +1. The image is a 4-second exposure with a Canon EOS 60D + EF 2.0/35 mm lens at ISO 800. It is my first observation of an X-37B ever, as previous OTV missions were not visible from my country due to their lower orbital inclination (38-43 degree inclined orbits, while this OTV 5 mission is in a 54.5 degree inclined orbit). OTV 5 made a manoeuvre on April 18-19 and was a no-show on the 19th as a result. We recovered it the next nigth, the 20th, when this image was taken, some 20 minutes early on the last known orbit.
