Details:
The conjunction between these planets was successfully observed on Wednesday evening. The distant planet Uranus was detected less than 0.3 deg from the much brighter Venus. Uranus was also seen visually through an 80-mm refractor. This was not an easy observation due to a solar elongation of only 19 deg (hence low altitude and twilight) and interference from clouds. It was a fine and memorable experience to witness this event. Image data: Canon EOS 100D with 400-mm lens @ f/8, ISO 800, 1 second exposure at 19h12m UT.
