What a Amazing Auroral display. This was around 9pm on the 23rd of March that sky exploded with a wonderful display and we thought , well that’s it for the night, it couldn’t get any better ,how wrong we where ,at 1120 the same night the sky erupted with what I can only describe as the best show this season. All the colours you can think of danced above us with corona after corona and a crystal clear view with the naked eye. We have been out every night since 28th of August 2017 until the early hours each morning and last nights-display was incredibly mind blowing and was no doubt the best auroral display for a long time, which went on and on ,until there was too much daylight in the sky to observe any longer. The camera did not ,do it justice and could not cover what the naked eye observed . There was colors dancing in every single direction of the sky and was impossible to catch even 50% of the show with our 16 mm , or 10mm lenses. Wow what a night! And what a season it’s been despite it nearing the solar minimum and a great end to our tours which ended tonight. Once again thank you space weather for all the useful information that you supply year after year . Marianne.
