Details:
The beautiful and captivating video of the aurora featured on Spaceweather.com were sparked by the action of the solar wind as it pushed against Earth's protective magnetic bubble creating geo-effective vibrations detectable at ground level. It's always so satisfying to tie together geomagnetic activity detected on my magnetometer here in the UK with the aurora reported from across the regions.
