The weather up here in Northern Norway has been exceptionally dry and cold for an exceptionally long period.
This clear, cold (~-10C) and windy day (23rd of Feb'18) I was leading an Arctic Landscapes-tour for Wandering Owl around Kvaløya-island here in Tromsø.
Around 13pm local time I noticed these peculiar colors in the approaching high clouds as the Sun went behind a mountain top.
The distance from the Sun, the brightness and the cloud patterns made me believe that they were indeed PSC's maybe even Nacreous Clouds embedded in the high clouds. The display was over in 30min as the clouds closed in. Still not 100% sure whether it was psc's, nacreous clouds or just exceptionally vivid iridescent clouds. Nevertheless they were a mesmerizing sight, even though it was midday and sunset was hours away!
