Details:
The new year in the night sky began with the rise of the closest largest full Moon of the 2018 year. I photographed it from the center of the highway bridge across the Shoshone River in Cody Wyoming USA, looking downstream towards the McCullough Peaks in clear 20° F winter twilight.
Nikon D5300 camera with Nikkor 70-200mm lens, 1/160th sec at f/8 using ISO 1250 and an EV of -1.7.
The tall image was a handheld with Nikon P7800 mirrorless camera , unrecorded exposure, cropped to remove trailer park and powerlines etc.
Oh by the way , SpaceWeather website not yet updated to allow entry of the 2018 date
