Details:
Today, heavy rainclouds and a bitter wind greeted the people of Tromsø in northern Norway when they woke up, but all of a sudden, the clouds parted and the sky cracked open and in the gaps an absolutely stunning display of nacreous clouds could be seen around mid-day today (20 December 2017). Seldom have I seen PSC's with such vivid colours as today. The sky may look gloomy with heavy rainclouds even as Christmas is approaching and hearts are heave to see the snow melt away, but with some luck, you may be rewarded with an absolutely amazing sight through a gap in the clouds! Photo details: Nikon D4s, AF-S Nikkor 70-200 mm, ISO 1000-1600, 1/400s – 1/640s exposure.
