Details:

Dozens of average magnitude and length Geminids, but the most I've seen since the Leonids in 1998. Clouds added welcome photographic drama but limited the number I captured.

Here is my EXIF data: 50 sec., ISO 800, 14mm Rokinon, Canon DSLR with APC w/18 mb sensor, RAW, Neewer intervoltometer. Used medium-duty tripod topped with iOptron ballhead mount on its ultracompact SkyTracker rated at 7.8 lbs. capacity. Used construction bubble level for E-W, since built-in bubble under compass never worked or was missing. Used iOptron app to correctly position Polaris, very good. All of this MAY have resulted in smooth trails, not the herky-jerky, Morse code tracks of ISS, etc. I and just about everyone have imaged since the alleged end of the film age. Stay tuned.
