Details:
This was the brightest Geminid I captured out of 1000 frames shot December 12, the night before the peak of the 2017 Geminid shower. But it was a good one, nicely placed descending through Ursa Major. Gemini and the radiant are at top. Leo is just rising. Lots of meteors were flying last night, promising a great show for the peak night December 13. I shot this from southeast Arizona, near Portal and the Arizona Sky Village. It is 30 seconds at f/2.5 with the Rokinon 14mm lens and Canon 6D MkII at ISO 6400.
