Beautiful early evening lunar halo in Tucson AZ hanging over the city viewed from above in the foothills. Image acquired with a Nikon D850 and Irex 15 mm lens. This is a HDR image of 4 different exposures processed into a single image.

Actually the halo ring is exactly circular of course, with the light source in the very centre. It is the 22 degrees common ring, but a bright one. In the picture it is quite distorted to an elliptical shape by lens effects.
