Details:
I'd been out doing landscape photography during the day near Abisko and found an amazing ice sculpture at the side of lake Torneträsk. These had been caused by a huge storm whilst it was -10C. The ice here is actually covering a small tree even though it looks an alien landscape. I'd actually gone to bed as I was having a night off and then I saw some aurora developing on the Lights Over Lapland webcam. So got my warm kit on and headed out to the frozen tree! Even though the geomagnetic storm had not arrived there was enough aurora to get some nice images.
