Details:
Comet C/2017 S3 PANSTARRS will increase one million times in brightness from these images until it reaches perihelion in August 2018. It will go from magnitude 19.5 in these images to a predicted magnitude 4 when it passes about 20 million miles from the Sun on August 15, 2018. Unfortunately from Denver it will be lost in the morning twilight one week before it's close approach to the Sun when it is predicted to be about magnitude 5.
