Details:
Two images of lunar crescent moons that I call "bookends", the first crescent visible both before and after
the October 19 2017 new moon. I was able to capture the October 18 image before work
in the morning sky over Mount Mansfield (VT). On October 20 at sunset, the 1.37% illuminated crescent deep in the twilight glow over Lake Champlain,
(Georgia VT)I used a Meade ETX 90mm maksutov-cassegrain telescope (1250mm), Sony Nex5r camera. Using an Orion XT6 reflector visually, I set my
personal record with the thin crescent.
