Details:
It was a nice of view the occultation rising above the Tucson foothills. Captured in Tucson AZ with a Vixen VSD 100 telescope, a Televue 2.5X power mate, and a Nikon D500 camera.
The longer exposure is a few minutes later showing the Moon in Earthshine with Regulus and other stars including Regulus' mag. 8 SAO 98966 companion. Some of the usual Tucson dust is apparent in the longer exposure.
The shorter exposure shows the detail of the crescent Moon and the moment that Regulus emerged.
