It's always wonderful to see the impact of a geomagnetic storm on my magnetometer here in the UK. Here the chart clearly shows the arrival of the predicted high speed solar wind on October 11th from a large Earth-side coronal hole, which intensified over the following 24hrs to create a G1 solar storm overnight. More activity is expected as the storm is predicted to reach G2 in the coming hours.
