Details:
Was on my way to work about 6:15 AM in Grass Valley, CA when I noticed a bright shimmering cloud to the South. It was then I remembered being told by a friend of a rocket launch at Vandenberg AFB that was to take place around 5:30 am that same morning. I figure this is what remained of the launch in the upper atmosphere as the launch was roughly 400 miles south of my position.
