Belém Tower (Torre de Belém) is a fortified tower at the mouth of Tagus river in Lisbon, Portugal. It was built in the early 16th century in Portuguese Manueline style and since 1983 it's a UNESCO World Heritage Site because of its significant role played in the Portuguese maritime discoveries of the era of the Age of Discoveries.
