Details:
On 9/7/17 I watched the incoming CME flux levels, at 9:10PM I saw it was getting the highest I've ever seen. Grabbed my tripod and Sony Nex5n with 16mm f2.8 lens drove to a nice spot right on the Chesapeake Bay and pointed northwest. This was overexposed pic(41 sec), I thought most was light pollution from Wash DC since it was almost directly behind shot. Went back today and lowered exposure levels and this is what I captured. Stunning colors considering I live in Southern MD!
