Details:
Observing the Sun is a matter of fractions, in white light or even H-alpha the disk is visible but not the corona. Block the disk of the Sun the corona fraction becomes visible. Put the disk of the Sun over the TSE and it more approximates the whole with even a distant star, Regulus, in the field. This composite is data from the TSE observed in Idaho. Photo details, images captured with a Vixen VSD telescope and a Nikon D500 camera with a white light filter for the disk and a HDR for the corona. Regulus captured as a blue star is in the field.
