Details:
Heavy smoke from fires in Washington state made for a very red sun. I looked at the rising red sun with a spotting scope and was surprised by this huge solar sunspot group. Took these images through the smoke and some clouds. 6" f/8 AstroPhysics refractor, Intes Herschel Wedge. Sentech mono video camera, 200-500 frames stacked and processed in Registax v6 and levels adjusted in PhotoPlus v8. First image was through moving clouds.
