Details:
We had mostly clear sky for the eclipse but some patches of cumulus cloud were around. As the eclipse approached maximum where I was watching from my back yard, a patch of thin cumulus flowed into view. I like how the cloud actually frames the event and adds depth and drama to it that would otherwise not exist for a partial eclipse in a clear sky.
I'm glad I grabbed my camera and got these shots.
