Details:
The total solar eclipse in the far 11 August 1999 (10:40 UT) was photographed in the countryside north of Dachau (Germany) on the center-line of the shadow. Great and lucky, considering the precarious weather conditions of the area. I used a Schmidt-Cassegrain C8 with Vixen Super Polaris mount, to which a Nikon FE was connected with Fuji Velvia 50 ISO film. During the whole I used the B pose with a manual window shutter, positioned in front of the optic, to avoid any vibration caused by the camera's shutter. Two intense moments of emotion that will always remain imprinted in my memory.
