It is not a real iridescent cloud and even not a rainbow, since cloud iridescence has his origin in diffraction and interference in tiny cloud droplets - and the rainbow in rain droplets. We see in these images a brilliant ice crystal halo phenomenon, which can be identified as the circumhorizontal arc and traces of the 46 degrees infralateral arc. Higher in the sky, more close to the sun, some more halo forms might have been present too. See also http://www.atoptics.co.uk/halo/cha2.htm
