Tropical storm Harvey was not only generating gigantic jets but it was also generating Sprites, Halos, and Elves. I recorded numerous events with my Watec 902H Ultimate but these are by far the best two. I also managed to capture some with my DSLR but most were faint due to haze and thin clouds. One of these gigantic jets looks like a sprite but that is because I only managed to capture the top half of the GJ. The bottom half was obscured by a lingering cloud and haze. These events were recorded on Aug 19, 2017 between 08:36 and 08:50 UTC when Tropical storm Harvey was just south of Puerto Rico in the Caribbean. Great observations!!! Vid gives impression of magnitude. Clearly see path and discharge in higher atmosphere. You must have been on a very high viewpoint. Some mountaintop?

Thanx Taaske....My house is on the side of a hill. The elevation is approx 220 ft. The storm cell that produced the two B&W GJs was a little over 100 miles south of my location. To the south of that storm cell there was another one that was huge and that one generated the other GJs,sprites, halos, and elves which can be seen in the youtube video. Tropical storm Harvey was a TLE Paradise.
