The star above the moon is Aldebaran on the morning of 16-August-2017. The first image would be around 2:30 am EDT and the second around 1:30 am, the latter when the moon was only about 4 deg altitude. Its clearly not HD 28867, which is only magnitude 6.2 (too dim to show here) and was about 1.75 deg, or 3.5 moon diameters above-left of the moon at the time.
