It was a nice clear sky all day, until one hour before the eclipse, when a storm joined the party.
I nevertheles climbed up the Jura mountains to try watching the eclipsed moon rise behind Aiguille Verte peak. The moon rose just in time, with the cloud line leaving a clear gap less than 1 degree wide above horizon. Just big enough to watch the full moon rise, with lovely colors and dramatic darkness above Geneva city, well worth the effort.
I just hope I have not spent all my 2017 luck budget on this one, and there is still some remaining for the 21st August !
