Details:
Milky Way, over Cruagh Island & Aughrus Point. Taken in "not full darkness": Ireland was still subject to summer astronomical perma-twilight on July 23rd. But I'm really impressed with this as a location, completely devoid of light pollution. Even the low clouds are dark - there are no ground lights for them to reflect, apart from Slyne Head Lighthouse, the bright spot visible towards the left and many km further south. I processed this pretty heavily to make the foreground visible. Single exposure. Canon 5DII at ISO 1600, Walimex (Samyang) 24/1.4 at f2.8, 2 minutes on an AstroTrac.
