As I was coming back from an NLC airborne campaign in Alberta, Canada, and traveling to Europe, the clouds seem to follow me, even on the plane. I took a peek outside the window this night and a beautiful NLC display showed itself over Greenland around local solar midnight (about 1:00 am). It was so jaw-dropping to be flying 'under them' and see them evolve as we flew by! It was the fastest 8 hour flight of my life, probably because it was a way better show than what they had on these little tiny screens!
