Details:
It’s a flashback to my childhood! I still remember catching these amazing insects and putting them in a jar when i was very young. But both the fireflies have gone away with the increasing light pollution. This childhood experience lead to look for the fireflies in many places at summer in the last 6 years after i become an astro-photographer.
This single exposure image was captured at Fujian Tulou in China at last night. The Green trails show the movement of the fireflies as the Milky Way galaxy sparkles in the background. The view is amazing, i was surrounded by dozens of fireflies and millions of stars, the dancing quintessential luminous apparitions looks like the stars fell down on the ground. it’s even more beautiful than the my childhood memories.
