Details:
Regulus will be about a degree from the Sun on total eclipse day. Regulus was occulted by the Moon in S. America but in the US west the star was located a couple of lunar diameters from the Moon's disk at dusk. This image is an equipment test using the Moon and Regulus as a proxy for the eclipse day. This image is a stack of 5 images @ iso 640 using a Vixen VSD100 F3.8 telescope and a Nikon D500 camera.
