Details:
At more than 1.5 million wild acres, Montana's Bob Marshall Wilderness complex has a rugged heart — the Chinese Wall. This rocky escarpment runs north-south for 22 miles and averages 1,000 of sheer vertical cliff face.

During June's new moon, the Milky Way shone through broken clouds above the wild Wall — and the domestic orange glow of city lights from Helena, 94 air miles to the south.

Nikon D750, Rokinon 14mm lens, 20 sec ISO 5000, f2.8
