Details:
Here is an unusual size comparison between the thin Crescent Supermoon with Earthshine at 15.47 UT on 27 May 2017 and the recent Full Micromoon at 03.23 UT on 09 June. The photographs were taken from the same location in Mutare, Zimbabwe, using the same optical zoom setting (x60) on the same Panasonic Lumix DMC TZ-60 camera within two hours of moonset. The composite image and following animation clearly show how much larger the young crescent Supermoon near the closest perigee of 2017 on 26 May was than the recent full Micromoon near the most distant apogee on 08 June. The size difference is so great that it accommodates the two day old crescent Moon of 27 May with room to spare!
