Details:
Early this morning (09 June) the Full Moon was photographed setting over some hills behind Chikanga Township. The lead animation prepared from 10 still images taken between 05.52 and 05.54 LT shows how the Moon changed color and shape as it descended through haze in the brightening dawn sky. This is followed by a view of the Moon entering the haze a minute earlier. The next composite shows two distant views of the Full Moon over Chikanga taken between 05.13 and 05.41 while it was still dark. The last mosaic shows how the Moon changed color in just a few minutes (from 05.22 to 05.29) while still fairly high in the pre-dawn sky. The camera used was a Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ60 in night scenery mode with up to x60 zoom magnification.
