Details:

Pretty much as soon as the sky was dark, there was a beautiful arc overhead. Steve came to visit the midlatitudes. We also had a green and sometimes purplish-red glow on the northern horizon. Nikon D800, f/2.8, 20-mm, ISO2500, 4 sec.
