Details:
Yesterday evening at 17.42 LT the very young crescent Supermoon became visible above the bright glow of sunset for only 11 minutes before it set below the local horizon. The first still image shows the ultra-thin crescent three minutes after it first became visible. The top left of the following animation shows just how difficult it was to see for those first three minutes. The next mosaic and final animation show the thin bright crescent during the last three minutes of descent. The photographs were taken using a tripod mounted Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ60 compact camera in sunset scene mode with up to x60 zoom magnification.
