I apologize for these older photos that have not been submitted before to Spaceweather. I have been keenly reading about the phenomenon incorrectly referred to as Proton Arcs and saw on the latest SW update that Steve can be accompanied by an aurora that resembles a green picket fence. The bright arc in these photos with the picket fence aurora eventually spanned the sky and intersected the Milky Way.
