Comet Johnson V2 - 5/13/17 One Hour of Darkness. Imaged comet Johnson in Bootes last night with the 10" f/3.8 astrograph. The comet is a blazing 7th magnitude now, and is very easy in the finder to see. Here, Ive recorded a nice teal colored coma, and the teardrop shaped dust tail. One hour of darkness last night before the moon rose - Then the clouds rolled in!

Chris, please post also the image in color with the star trails, I think will be more detailed and better colored. In this there are some degradated colors in the coma/tail ... for the superimposition (image comet -- image stars -- photomontage)...
