Details:
As dawn broke at 05.58 LT on 11 May a beautiful yellow full Moon shone brightly above Chikanga suburb (first two pictures). In the next 15 minutes as it got lighter the color of the Moon changed to pale orange as it descended into haze and the crossed the boundary between retreating blue earth shadow and a pink belt of Venus (third and last images). Unfortunately by the time it reached the hills on the horizon it was completely obscured by the haze. The photographs were taken with a tripod-mounted Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ60 camera using manual exposures and up to x60 zoom magnification.
