After the great animation of Pascal Paquereau published here (May 7) I contacted him and he helped me choosing the right items to try myself. I am much grateful to him !
Today I could make a reasonably good animation (spanning 1 hour) at least for a first trial ...
Here is the basic recipe if you want to try too ...
Meade 10" Classic, Baader D3.8 Astrosolar filter, 3x Televue Barlow (FL= 7.5m), 720 nm IRPass filter (but deep red would be fine), ASI174MM.
Captures in the early morning from 9h20 local time (as seeing is best) with FireCapture2.5 of 30s (selected by SSM) and 90s wait. Shutter 3 ms, Gain around 46 (use of AutoHisto), gamma =1. Each SER file processed with AS!3 with sharpen 0% blend RAW. Resulting TIFF images aligned on the little sunspot with RegiStax5 using CG after stretching filters then finally manually with optimize then saved in AVI in stack page. With VirtualDub, bad frames were eliminated, frames cropped and levels adjusted for more contrast. PIPP was used to generate the GIF video. Note a single frame is also posted so you don't get discouraged when seeing such a poor thing on your monitor !
