Details:
A short timelapse (57 frames) showing the transit of Ganymede in front of Jupiter over the course of an hour and a half.
Considering the distance of 666 million km, seeing visible changes over the course of just minutes at such a low resolution gives the idea of the incredible speeds involved.
Skywatcher Mak 102/1300 on Eq2 + Canon 60D.
Videos stacked in Autostakkert 2 and processed with Registax 6, animation made in Photoshop. Sorry for the quality, but:
1) average to bad seeing
2) the 60D threw colour balance out the window most of the time (it's not really suited for such works I'm afraid)
3) it's just my third attempt at timelapses, hope to do more of those!
